a roll of film

I found an old roll of film, from the time when I didn't take the easy route and carry my little cannon powershot in my pocket, snap snap snap. I got this film developed, samples above and realize how much I miss real film and how sad I am that it is slowly becoming obsolete. After this revelation I went to get my old Minolta SLR fixed, so I could get back to film. Well, turns out Minolta is out of business and the small piece I need for the battery, well it's not worth trying to find, apparently it is simply cheaper to just buy a new film camera altogether. sigh. I know there will always be art in photography, but I can't help but morn the end of an era, where taking a photograph was complicated as was producing and the product could have a grainy depth that no digital print can.
